How can I use 6 Word Memoirs with my third graders?
What might be my 6 Word Memoirs for this spring break look like? Sound like?
Should I start scribbling things down?
I've spent the good part of the last 2 1/2 days working on my final project for my writing class. I desperately want it to be roughly finished before I return to school tomorrow. I probably have less than a 1/4 to go if I'd only focus on the task at hand. This type of writing does not come easily to me, I definitely feel like a fish out of water. So, as I poke at this writing thoughts about how stressful life will feel in the coming weeks if I don't achieve my goal, and have to work at this as well as manage school and life. Ultimately these swirling thoughts take me down further the path of unproductivity.
Tomorrow spring break is officially over, and the final push toward the end of the school year is on. My thoughts swirl around beginning our final class novel, allowing enough time tomorrow to reestablish the feeling of class community, and looking for ways in these final weeks to encourage them to grow toward their potential. There's also a part of my thoughts that's swirling around the notion that I'm not exactly 100% ready for this school year to end either.
In my distraction I began reading some old stuff piling in my aggregator. These words jumped out at me today,
Do not be in such a hurry to move on.
