Lower Monthly Savings Rate | Free by Forty

With my new job we needed to spend some money to get a new car to replace my company car and as a result our monthly savings rate completely tanked in March. February was a lower % saved monthly due to having to pay property taxes but I'm hopefully that I've gotten all my spending spree out of my system. Once the dust settles on how much I'll be bringing home in my new job, how much we'll be spending on a basement remodel, and how much my husband's bonus will be – it will be great to get back on track.

I'm not making excuses for the extra spending, I fully knew that spending the money would put us further away from our goal and did it anyway.
