missouri river floods ft calhoun ne nuclear plant

What in the world is going on? A Nebraska nuclear power plant in Fort Calhoun alongside the Missouri River evacuated recently and called in local fire department after a fire broke out. Arnie Gundersen, a nuclear power expert, provides professional insights into crisis and simple observation, "nuclear plants and sand bags don't mix." Gundersen implies a more serious crisis in a Five O'Clock Shadow interview with observation local fire departments are hardly ever called in as plants rountinely handle small fires. Also, the six dams along the Missouri river are full from greater snow run off this year and Gundersen bluntly adds a dam failure would present a great danger. The Ft Calhoun plant is also the storage facility for the state's spent fuel rods. Gundersen interview is available here.

There are, also, interesting posts elsewhere. A NC Renegade blog entry comments on No Fly Zone over the power plant. The present writer surmises, authorities want to conceal escaping gasses. Jeff Rense links an e-mail from Tom Burnett, an expert who is frequently on his show. Burnett points out, "Calhoun stores its spent fuel in ground-level pools which are underwater anyway - but they are open at the top. When the Missouri river pours in there, it's going to make Fukushima look like an x-ray. But that's not all. There are a LOT of nuclear plants on both the Missouri and Mississippi and they can all go to hell fast." Are you beginning to wonder why the crises at nuclear plants?

radiation chic coming to america

radiation chic coming to americaJapanese chic facial ware may be coming to America? Radiation concerns can be seen in geiger counters sold out. GE Mark 1 nuclear reactors are "operating safely" at 23 American plants; similar in design to damaged Fukushima reactors. The Japanese feel betrayed by government, according to Yoichi Shimatsu's most recent update on the disaster here. A suspicious lack of response has same whiff of Hurricane Katrina rescue efforts. Japan still hasn't moved to entomb the reactors and eerily reminescent of slow response in New Orleans? Is it predatory capitalism?

A blog entry at Humans Are Free makes several suppositions how and why an insane New World Order elite precipitates "natural disasters". The modus operandi considered is a Stuxnet infection, establishing outside access to critical Siemens PLCs that control coolant rods. Industrial operations are under increased cyber-attacks. HAARP is implicated in eliciting earthquake that resulted in a tsunami.

The most interesting suggested link is, perhaps, Japan's issuing 15 Trillion in currency, which is viewed as likely used by US Federal Reserve as a means to further dilute damage done by derivatives. It's coincidental the Fed announced quantitative easing will end June 30th. The world has clearly gone crazy. The present writer subscribes to view there are capitalists, who will attempt to profit off of death and destruction!

japan elite hiding secret weapons program in nuclear plants?

japan elite hiding secret weapons program in nuclear plants?Environmental writer Yoichi Shimatsu provides keen insight on Japan's disaster in article, "Is Japan's Elite Hiding a Weapons Program Inside Nuclear Plants?" A casual observer of the calamity cannot help but compare Japan's inept response to US government's similar ineffective efforts in 2005 Hurricane Katrina disaster? Shimatsu comments, "Inexplicable delays and half-baked explanations from Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) seem to be driven by some unspoken factor." There is an unsettling lack of response just as in the Hurrican Katrina disaster? Why? "The most logical explanation: The nuclear industry and government agencies are scrambling to prevent the discovery of atomic-bomb research facilities hidden inside Japan's civilian nuclear power plants," concludes Shimatsu.

Perhaps, most damning are the following two revelations, "[unit 4] omission from the list of electricity-generating operations raises the question of whether Unit 4 was being used to enrich uranium, the first step of the process leading to extraction of weapons-grade fissionable material."

The second is equally explosive, "...bloom of irradiated seawater across the Pacific comprises another piece of the puzzle, because its underground source is untraceable (or, perhaps, unmentionable). The flooded labyrinth of pipes, where the bodies of two missing nuclear workers—never before disclosed to the press— were found, could well contain the answer to the mystery: a lab that none dare name." Wow! A tip of the hat goes to Shimatsu for his incisive inquiry!

You can listen to Yoichi Shimatsu's most recent report here on the Japan disaster. Article is an education and interview makes a nice companion. It's great stuff!

stuxnet damaged centrifuges at natanz?

A frontpagemag.com post by Rich Trzupek may provide the best description of havoc wreaked by computer worm. Stuxnet, introduced most likely by flash drive, hopped computers at Iran's uranium enrichment facility at Natanz until it reached its target. The computer worm then went to work by targeting the programmable logic controller (PLC) that controls thousands of centrifuges at the facility.

The PLC fooled centrifuges into changing speeds, and at the same time, not reporting the change or triggering alarms. "Operators were surely puzzled, for their control panels told them everything was running normally, but centrifuge after centrifuge was being wrecked by the severe changes in rotation speed. The result, many experts believe, is that thousands of the centrifuges were damaged over the course of the year..." It's widely believed only a rich nation could provide the resources for a computer worm of Stuxnet's sophistication. Ralph Langner, a computer security expert, compares it to the "arrival of a F-35 into a WWI battlefield". The scary thought is: now that the code is public, where will it turn up next?

virtual flag terrorism: new clues point to israel as author of stuxnet

stuxnet virus contains biblical references to esther & persia
virtual flag terrorism: new clues point to israel as author of stuxnetfrom threat level: New clues released this week show a possible link between Israel and sophisticated malware targeting industrial control systems in critical infrastructure systems, such as nuclear plants and oil pipelines.

Late Thursday, security firm Symantec released a detailed paper with analysis of the headline-making code (.pdf), which reveals two clues in the Stuxnet malware that adds to speculation that Israel may have authored the code to target Iran.

Or, they could simply be red herrings planted in the code by programmers to point suspicion at Israel and away from other possible suspects.

The malware, called Stuxnet, appears to be the first to effectively attack critical infrastructure and in a manner that produces physical results, although there’s no proof yet any real-world damage has been done by it. The malware’s sophistication and infection of thousands of machines in Iran has led some to speculate that the U.S. or Israeli government built the code to take out Iran’s nuclear program.

ex-norad officer predicts tentative worldwide ufo display on oct13

"Just before he [Wernher von Braun] died, he gave an interview to Carol Rosin, in which he basically said that in order to sustain the military-industrial complex that first a false threat of terrorists would be created and used on the public and then asteroids and finally a false alien threat."
ex-norad officer predicts tentative worldwide ufo display on oct13from new world order report: A newly-published book by a retired NORAD officer predicts October 13, 2010 as the tentative date for a fleet of extraterrestrial vehicles to hover for hours over the earth's principal cities. Author says the event to be the first in a series intended to avert a planetary catastrophe resulting from increasing levels of carbon-dioxide in the earth's atmosphere dangerously approaching a "critical mass."

Winnipeg, MB (PRWEB) September 13, 2010 -- A newly-published 352-page book by a retired Air Force officer, Stanley A. Fulham, tentatively predicts October 13, 2010 as the date for a massive UFO display over the world’s principal cities. According to the author, the aliens will neither land nor communicate on that date; they are aware from eons of experience with other planets in similar conditions their sudden intervention would cause fear and panic.

The book, Challenges of Change (3rd ed.), reports this event will be the initial interaction in a process leading to mankind’s acceptance of the alien reality and technologies for the removal of poisonous gases from the earth’s atmosphere in 2015, if not sooner.

large hadron collider 'performing well'

large hadron collider 'performing well'from ria novosti: A detailed check of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) running at a low energy has showed that it is "performing well," the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) said on its website Thursday.

The world's most powerful atom smasher was restarted Saturday. The first protons were injected into the LHC following a pre-New Year technical shutdown and traveled in both directions successfully.

"The circulating beams marked the end of a 10 week particle-free hiatus for the world's largest particle accelerator, during which LHC scientists and engineers have prepared the machine for its biggest challenge yet, particle collisions at an energy of 7 trillion electron volts (TeV). The beams also mark the beginning of the LHC's first long run, expected to last until at least mid-year 2011," Symmetry magazine said last week.

In 2011, the collider will be shut down again to prepare it for its intended collision energy of 14 TeV.

The $4.9 billion international LHC project has involved more than 2,000 physicists from hundreds of universities and laboratories in 34 countries since 1984. Over 700 Russian physicists from 12 research institutes have taken part.

Experiments using the LHC were suspended in September 2008 shortly after a successful start, due to a malfunction of two superconducting magnets and a subsequent helium leak into the tunnel housing the device.

Work to repair and upgrade the collider after the breakdown cost almost $40 million and took more than a year. A system to protect it from such accidents, named the Quench Protection System, was installed, and the first beams were injected into the LHC on November 20 last year.
