A consummate observer of apparent weather warfare, Dutchsinse received alerts by email of 8.4 quake near Libya. Upon a search, a report was indeed found at the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center website. The seismological data seems to have disappeared from similar sites on the web and Dutchsinse wants to get to the bottom of it! Yet another YouTube video was published this evening by - all breaking news - for May 19th! Hats off to Dutchsinse!

Some officers played the role of prisoners, acting like gang members and stirring up trouble, including a mock riot. The latest in prison gear got a workout — body armor, shields, riot helmets, smoke bombs, gas masks. And, at this year’s drill, computers that could see the action. Perched above the prison yard, five cameras tracked the play-acting prisoners, and artificial-intelligence software analyzed the images to recognize faces, gestures and patterns of group behavior... "It was just too sensitive, and we didn’t want to go there," said Eric E. Schmidt, the chief executive of Google. "You want to avoid enabling stalker behavior."

jack blood reports on false alarm or drill gone live?

Jack Blood reports on shooting at NASA Glenn Research Center in Brook Park, Ohio next to the Cleveland Airport on his Deadline Live Nov. 5, 2010 broadcast. Blood adds alleged shooting was quickly amended to a false alarm and all clear broadcast over the base's public announcement system by 11:50am, Friday.

There were reports at 9:50 am of a man with a gun in Building 77 and of shots fired. Building 77 was placed on lockdown. Local ambulances and SWAT teams were dispatched to the base. The false alarm was, later, announced by officials as caused by a message sent in error to someone at Glenn meant for an employee at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida where a test (drill?) was in progress. "An employee at NASA Glenn with the same last name as a person at the other center mistakenly received a call at about 9:30 a.m. from an automated system with the message that there 'is a shooter in the building'. The employee did not realize it was a test."

Blood jumps on the similarities to the Fort Hood Shooting and rightfully so, exactly one year ago! Blood asks, "could the same thing have happened?" You have to ask, "how far did the drill go?" We will never know! Two days earlier, there was a similar incident at Vandenberg AFB. It's a sad commentary that nearly everyone misses these reports, present writer included, and fail to see the similarities right down to the dates! It's a tip of the hat to Jack Blood!

uk schools running ufo crash drills

from dateline zero: There seems to be a growing trend among schools to stage a UFO crash, and then teach students how to react, as well as to “properly” investigate and report on the incident... The latest “UFO drill” took place Wed, Sept 29, at Sandford Primary School in the UK. The kids were treated to a full UFO crash scenario that included wreckage, police tape, and real police officers. (Perhaps it was only lacking men from the government telling the children not to talk about what was seen.) What’s interesting is that “police were on hand to show the children how to properly investigate the UFO crash site.” Um, were any of the officers speaking from experience? A news article at The Weston Mercury elaborates on the role played by the officers:

Teacher and organiser Victoria Shepherd said: “PCSO Wright and PC Church were brilliant. They helped the children secure the scene and talked about what to do in an emergency, how they gathered evidence, how to interview witnesses etc.”

Are UFO drills becoming something of a routine part of the curriculum in the UK? It’s certainly becoming more and more of a common event. Each time, it’s a joint exercise put in place by the school and local law enforcement. A similar drill took place in Feb of 2009 when Lanchester Endowed Parochial Primary, in County Durham, staged a surprise “crash” behind the school. In Sept 2008 “children from an Edgware school were made to believe aliens had landed in their playground by teachers and police.” Again, each time it was conducted by the school system and police — teaching children what to do in event of a UFO event. Afterward, the kids are asked to write about their experience.

from defencetalk: US keyboard warriors were doing battle Tuesday with a simulated cyberattack on government and private computer networks that undermines basic trust in the Internet. The "Cyber Storm III" exercise involves participants from seven US government departments, including the Pentagon, 11 US states, 60 private companies and 12 international partners.

The biennial exercise is being staged by the Department of Homeland Security and is the first test of the new National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center based in an office building in this Washington suburb. The NCCIC booted up in October 2009 to serve as the coordinating center for US cybersecurity operations and houses US government computer experts and their private sector counterparts under one roof.

Briefing reporters ahead of "Cyber Storm III," Brett Lambo, the director of DHS's Cyber Exercise Program, stressed that the exercise, which is expected to last three days, is "completely simulated... We're not attacking any real networks," Lambo said. "We're not taking down a network. We're not injecting any real malware."

The thousands of participants in the exercise will receive more than 1,500 "injects" of simulated events that they will have to react to as unknown adversaries seek to exploit known vulnerabilities in cyber infrastructure...

The international partners taking part in the exercise are from Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden and Switzerland.
