ravise is absolutely right, u will get H1 for the period remaining (6 years minus time spent on L1). Also, if u file in next year's quota (filing starts in Apr 2010), it cannot have a start date earlier than Oct 1, 2010. I don't think u can start working on H1 before that date, even if u file premium.
Why don't u ask you company to file in current year's quota -- there are still visas available.

My priority date is in Oct 2005 (ROW) and yesterday was the 180th day after filing my I-485 application. I need some help in deciding if I should wait for the green card with my current employer or think of changing the job using AC21. Your suggestions will be really helpful.

I applied for H1B as a Software Test Engineer and my LCA is applied with the same job description. Now i wish to work as Programmer Analyst in the same location specified in the LCA. will i need to amend my LCA or H1B or is it fine to continue with the same LCA. Are there any chances of my LCA getting denied and how long will it take to get the new LCA. Thanking you in advance.
You will need to have the petitioner file an amended petition only if there has been a material change in the terms and conditions of your employment.
Compare the job duties (not just job titles) of the original and new job to determine if they are in the same Standard Occupational Classification (SOC). See, Find Occupations (http://online.onetcenter.org/find/). If the jobs are in the same SOC, they would both have the same prevailing wage and no material change has occurred. In that case, you may only need to get a new LCA. All LCAs take up to 7 business days to get certified by the DOL. Just a heads up about the new filing requirements for I-129s and I-140s. See link. In a nutshell all I-129s go to Vermont Service Center and all I-140s go to the Nebraska Service Center.

On June 17, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested.
Received RFE through mail, It says G-325 form missing. Don't know how will that miss?
Our EB3 PD is JUL-06 then why RFE now? Shouid I reply RFE by just G-325 to USCIS or whole I-485 package again?

IM just tring to find out if any one in EB3 cat. are seening any movement or progress by USCIS.
I have a pd of APR 2001 but no progress or lud in the past 1 year
nothing on my file and when i call USCIS they send me a letter saying
