Perhaps you always feel super-spiritual. I do not. There are days when I read the Word of God and it seems as though every word is inspired and goes straight into my heart.
There are other days, however, when I read the Word and it seems so dry and far away—so unreal and untrue in my own life. There are times when I look at the promises in the Word of God and every circumstance, every situation in my life, and every symptom in my body testifies contrary to the truth of that Word. It is as though everything without and everything within is screaming out, "Not true!"
At times like that, it helps to remember that the power is not in your mind; the power is not in your feelings; the power is not in your intellectual capacity to understand how this is going to work; and the power is not even in your ability to 'muster up' enough faith to believe; but rather, the power is in the seed!
You don't have to feel anything in order to plant a seed and see it grow. You don't even have to understand how it grows. All you have to do is plant it and water it and it will grow.
The same is true of the seed of God's Word!
