Fashion Friday Explanation « Dream of Dragons

At the request of Nana, I am starting a new series of posts called Fashion Friday. Every Friday, or as often as I remember, I will be sharing a few pictures of various pieces of Sara's wardrobe that I have collected over the years. Actually, over the past 2 years. I refused to buy anything for quite awhile. I just wanted to wait until we were in the middle of the process of adopting a daughter. I can still remember the very first dress I purchased. A fellow AP was with me and talked me into it. :)

Most everything has been bought on sale, or at consignment sales, or at the very least at TJ M*xx or such type stores. Some things I have saved from when Jonathan outgrew them; items that could be stretched to possibly be considered gender neutral. In each post, I will attempt to have a common theme for the outfits I share. If there is special anecdotal info about any of the things, I'll share that too, otherwise it will just be photos.

I will be progressing from smaller to larger, so some of these things, Sara may not actually be able to wear, depending on how old and big she is at homecoming. Since finding out about the EP quota delay, I have ruthlessly slashed my collection. Ok, maybe not ruthlessly, but I defiantly went through everything that will most likely never fit her when she is home. The stuff I really liked, I'll send to Korea in care packages. The things I was only so-so about will be re-sold at the consignment sale. Or the boy stuff might be passed on as hand-me downs to Jonathan's (and Sara's) cousin who is just about the same age as Sara.

So there you go… Hope you enjoy Fashion Friday. Facebook
