Very good ideas (if some one in the core is listening...). When approaching Zoe, we just have to let her office know that by speeding up GC approvals, they will help the poor housing market. Trust me, they will listen.
We should do something like this ..
I hear Pelosi is asking for Lameduck session next week. Also heard somewhere that in order to start Lameduck session on any monday they need to send invitation to lawmakers by mid of week earliar than that monday. Haven't read so far that they will do lameduck for sure.
Pelosi is relying on Bush to give assurance that he will sign bailout for auto makers.
Anyway.. in any case if there will be session in Nov then we should see solid news 3-4 days before it. Once we get confirmed news about Lameduck session

Thanks for the update and good to know that we will get an RFE and not a rejection for our EVL.
But on (2), what if we already have an A# from our approved I-140? Is there any other way to know that our application has been accepted??
According to the person I spoke to:
1. I will be issued an RFE if my AOS packet did not contain the EVL
2. Once the A# is issued, that means the application has been accepted, so no outright rejection can happen, however RFEs can be issued at a later date.

Yes, there are other ways that in an emergency you can keep in touch with IV. Total waste of valuable money, for the couple of occasions it has happened
I dont really care about the website outages. Thats not the main issue. Two or three core/senior volunteers are always running a contribution drive. Imagine thse people doing some thing more productive than running funding/media drives. When shyt hits the roof, we have a boat load of people asking when the hell shyt is gonna be all over us or how to wipe off the shyt. IV's strength lies in its members and all the time IV members have not responded to enroll in a monthly payment. People want GC's, but they dont want to pay for the fight. People want GC's but they want accountability for 20USD. People have point specific issues about themselves and their imigration issues and are happy to leverage the knowledge of the IV community, but do not care a damn about IV community. Those who pay, pay twice, pay thrice and even more. Why should any one do it? Why should others just simply browse and get answers for persoanl point specific issues? Those who do not know the value of green and what it can do in America, should stop worrying about GC. We have become a laughing stock for people on anti forums like alipac who have arrived at the conclusion that they dont need to fight us because we fight among us big time. Enough of my rant.

yes, EB2 dates have been better than EB3 for all countries, but in your case this would be especially big. All this while that EB3-ROW has been retrogressed back so much, EB2-ROW has been current. I agree. Let's forget about this misunderstanding. As to the current topic, here is also Greg Siskind's opinion (his blog) which I just found:
On the Visa Bulletin, DOS' Charles Oppenheim has the difficult job of trying to move the priority dates exactly enough to get the maximum number of visas issued in the fiscal year. In years past, hundreds of thousands of visas were wasted because of forecasting problems. It's one of the reasons behind last summer's mess. There is no grand conspiracy on Mr. Oppenheim's part to try and disadvantage any group or deliberately shortchange the immigrant community. So I'm going to assume that the moving around of the numbers was done with the goal of squeezing out every last visa of the 140,000 available.
There probably really isn't any conspiracy or wrongdoing on DOS's part with regard to the last bulletin, and I do hope they do their best to use visas efficiently so that everyone becomes Current sooner rather than later. Thanks. Any input in this tough time is really appreciated. All I am trying to get is , any clue , any information to see the light at the end of this Long Dark Tunnel of EB-3.
Currently the tunnel is closed at the end for EB-3 :mad: and the only way out I see is for us EB-3 folks to dig through. No one cares about EB-3 I folks. That's the way I see it.

Thanks for all the compliments folks, I appreciate the encouragement. Soulty, yes, that is the perspective I've been working toward..in fact, I've so far modeled everything around that perspective...i.e. everything looks like crap if viewed at a different angle. I'm open to suggestions though.
I also agree with what Soulty said about not quitting--especially not on my behalf. This project should be fun, and from what I've learned, every 3d project is a huge learning experience and there are so many directions you could go with it.

d. their case made it to the hands of adjudicator who is taking a final look at it.
it is difficult to finish all these in less than two months.
but you may never know, there might be some lucky ones.
just hope that we all are that lucky :)

Dirty linen is when people like me and Pegasus503 offer our contrasting views (and get red-dotted by immature posters who cannot have a civil debate) AND the media thinks these IV folks are not even in agreement on this subject. This to me would be detrimental to singhsa3's efforts and thus I wrote let's not bicker/argue/wash dirty linen about whether we agree with singhsa3's idea or not.
As far as your advice "if you are not convinced then stay out of the way", take a cold shower, dude. I was the first to delete my post and asked others to do the same so this would benefit singhsa3's campaign. If your miniscule brain cannot fathom my posts, ignore them and help singhsa3 out instead. The data is organized by Govt Fiscal Year (Oct thru Sept) and by priority date not approval date. Thus anyone applying in Oct-Dec of 2005 will show up in the 2006 file.
You will notice that the PERM receipt date is always between Oct of previous year and Sept of next year. I also think that the pre-PERM data is a little suspect. I am the only GC applicant from my company and my PD is July 2004, but my case does not show up in the 2004 file. I guess during the transfer from DOL to BEC's my case got lost in translation though I got an approval in Feb 2007.

For the past 2 months there has been many quarrels between EB2 and EB3.EB2 folks were really happy as the dates were current and suddenly they saw the Oct visa news from m umbai consulate and see so many posts regarding the apathy of USICS.
My dear friends USCIS was like that only since ages and because of it Labour Backlogs were created
To resolve these issues they started BP Centers
Then again came New labour system-- but still old habits die hard and see what happened to the new labour system
now DOL is playing with us with their new cutoff dates.
So Please forget about EB2 and EB3 lets all unite and fight for final push for EB reforms to get GC.

The original intent of country caps was to prevent one single country from monopolizing the immigration (but this was regular unskilled immigration like family based immigration etc). But when it comes to skill based immigration it is ridiculous to maintain country caps. Everybody including the US government, USCIS and industry know that country caps in skilled category are ridiculous. That is why in H1B they don’t enforce the country caps. Because if they enforce the country caps in H1b the whole H1 program will collapse. I know the difference between h1 and green cards but when you bring people into US on H1 without country caps they should not enforce country caps on H1 to green cards skilled category. The people who are oppose immigration are using this(the country cap or rather quota) as an excuse to make things worse for immigrantion.
