2° temporada de Glee

Isso mesmo, a 1° temporada de Glee acabou, mas não fiquem triste vem aí a 2° temporada.
A Globo comprou os direitos de transmissão de Glee, isso mesmo, Glee passará a ser exibido no Globo:
"A produção de grande sucesso nos EUA e vencedora do Globo de Ouro 2010 deverá ser exibida pela Rede Globo a partir deste ano"
Só que será dublado, e para mim dublado perde toda a originalidade, além disso vai virar total modinha!

Coisas que não saem da cabeça!

Já perceberam que quando gostamos de uma música, ficamos ouvindo ela sem parar até decorar toda a letra? Ai partes da música ficam passando por nossa cabeça... Você se vicia, procura tudo sobre a banda ou cantor(a), é uma loucura!!
Vamos combinar também que achamos o cantor(a) super lindo e não paramos de falar dele! E isso não acontece só com cantores e bandas, acontece com atores da TV, de peças de teatro, etc.
A parte mais legal de se viciar em alguém ou em alguma coisa, é viciar nossos amigos também! Claro que ferramentas como Youtube, blogs e a beleza, "de onde a banda ou cantor(a) veio" (Ídolos, se é ator e cantor, por exemplo), se é filho de alguém famoso, entre outros fatos.

from bbc: Aliens almost certainly exist but humans should avoid making contact, Professor Stephen Hawking has warned. In a series for the Discovery Channel the renowned astrophysicist said it was "perfectly rational" to assume intelligent life exists elsewhere.

But he warned that aliens might simply raid Earth for resources, then move on. "If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn't turn out well for the Native Americans," he said.

Prof Hawking thinks that, rather than actively trying to communicate with extra-terrestrials, humans should do everything possible to avoid contact. He explained: "We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet."

Desenhos que marcaram

Aposto que muitos de vocês gostam de ver desenhos animados, porém na minha opinião, parece que os desenhos de antigamente são melhores do que os de hoje em dia. Mas é claro que existem muitos desenhos atuais que são muito bons, mas mesmo tendo muitos desenhos bons na telinha, nós deixamos de assisti-los, pois nós crescemos e agora preferimos ir pro shopping com os amigos do que ver desenhos o dia todo na televisão.
Alguns desenhos antigos e super legais eram:

- Doug
- Hey, Arnold
- Telletubbies (assistia quando tinha uns 3 anos e simplesmente AMAVA)
- Hamtaro (também estranhei ser "m" antes de "t", mas é assim que se escrevre...)
- Digimón
- Dragon Ball Z
- Bob esponja (um dos poucos desenhos velhos que ainda passa)

Só me lembro desses desenhos no momento, mas e você? Se lembra de mais algum desenho antigo e que você achava super legal?

study: fair use contributes trillions to US economy

from threat level: One study after another purports to chronicle how much intellectual property piracy hurts the economy, and contributes to every societal ill from terrorism to child porn & slavery.

A new study unveiled Tuesday sets out to examine intellectual property in a different light: How fair use — which doesn’t require permission from the copyright holder — actually benefits the economy.

The trade group, Computer & Communications Industry Association, in a follow-up to its 2007 report, asks: “What contribution is made to our economy by industries that depend on the limitations to copyright protection when engaged in commerce?”

For the year 2007, the fair-use economy accounted for $4.7 trillion in revenue (.pdf)  and $2.2 trillion in value added, roughly one-sixth the total gross domestic product of the United States, according to the study. The fair-use economy also employed more than 17 million people with a $1.2 trillion payroll.

Fair-use-dependent industries include educational institutions, search engines, web hosting providers, software developers and device manufacturers, among others.

To be sure, the government urges caution when analyzing the economics of intellectual property. Still, we thought we’d throw this study into the mix because of its novel approach.

“The protection afforded by fair use and other limitations and exceptions has been a major contributing factor to these economic gains, and will continue to support growth as the U.S. economy becomes even more dependent on information industries,” the study said.

The association’s membership includes Microsoft, Google, eBay, AMD, Yahoo, Oracle and others. Under the Copyright Act, fair use is not copyright infringement. In the software context, for example, software development depends on making temporary copies of copyrighted software to facilitate the programming of interoperability.

Eu queria estar de papo para o ar, mas eu vim aqui postar sobre expressões que usamos muito e que ás vezes nem sabemos o seu significado e ficamos boiando, mas não se preocupe eu vou colocar a boca no trombone e pôr tudo em pratos limpos e tentar tirar essa pulga atrás da orelha e fazer com que você saiba tudo na ponta da língua, se eu não conseguir não arme barraco, nem rode a baiana, não adianta ficar batendo na mesma tecla, e fazer das tripas coração eu vou tentar te explicar pisando em ovos.

A amiga da minha prima como é mão-de-vaca, fez uma vaquinha para comprar o presente da amiga já que custava os olhos da cara, no dia do aniversário ela errou o caminho da casa da minha prima e acabou entrando numa fria, a outra amiga que estava de olho gordo no presente ajudou a amiga a achar a casa da minha prima, mas antes de achar a casa dela, elas bateram na porta de uma casa na maior cara-de-pau, elas quase tiveram que dar um bolo na minha prima, mas acabram achando a casa da minha prima e a festa foi ótima.

from sacramento press: Central Intelligence Agency director Leon Panetta told 300 Sacramento Metro Chamber Cap-to-Cap delegates that the next “Pearl Harbor” is likely to be an attack on the United States’ power, financial, military and other Internet systems.

Panetta addressed the Sacramento delegation that includes 43 elected officials and hundreds of business and civic leaders who are in Washington D.C. for the annual program that advocates for the region’s most pressing policy issues. He spoke on Monday, April 19, during the Cap-to-Cap opening breakfast.

“Cyber terrorism” is a new area of concern for the CIA, Panetta said. The United States faces thousands of cyber attacks daily on its Internet networks. The attacks are originating in Russia, China, Iran and from even hackers.

“The next Pearl Harbor is likely to be a cyber attacking going after our grid… and that can literally cripple this country,” Panetta said. “This is a whole new area of threat.”

But cyber terrorism is just one of four primary missions for Panetta, who took over directing the CIA last year after appointment by President Obama. The CIA is also focusing on counter-terrorism, reducing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and fighting narcotics trafficking.

Al Qaeda is becoming a viscous target, and as CIA and military operations tamp it down in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq, the terrorist elements are moving to places like Somalia, Yemen and North Africa—as well changing its tactics, he said.

“The president’s direction…is we must dismantle and destroy Al Qaeda and its known elements,” he said. “It’s a fundamental mission….The primary effort takes place in Pakistan and tribal areas. We are now focused on Afghanistan and have increased our presence there.”

Meanwhile, CIA is working to help Iraqis fight Al Qaeda. “Even as our military draws down in Iraq, we’ll keep our presence there…to provide intelligence to the Iraqis so they can secure their own country.”

Worrisome, he added, is how Al Qaeda is “coming at us in other ways.” These include using individuals who have clean records and are not being tracked; individuals who are already in the U.S.A. and in contact with Al Qaeda; and individuals who decided to “self-radicalize” and are easily and quickly recruited as terrorists.

Previously, Panetta served as a congressional representative from the Monterey area, rising to the House Budget committee chair, and then latter as President Clinton’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget.

“I’ve spent most of my life on budget issues,” he said, noting the “work we did eventually produced a balanced budget for the country.” When he’s asked why he took on the job at the CIA, he told the group, “Because considering the size of the federal deficit, I’d rather fight Al Qaeda.”

Aaaah os nossos pensamentos...

Não há no mundo nada mais complexo e mais livre que nossos pensamentos. São eles que nos levam aonde queremos!

Durante toda a nossa existência somos obrigados a levar em conta regras, e a fazer coisas que não queremos, mas quando nos deparamos com uma situação dessas, são a eles que recorremos!

Se você namora, eles não te deixam um segundo longe do seu amor, se você tem um amor platônico ele se torna real apenas com pequenos pensamentos mesclados a sonhos, se você mora longe de quem gosta, eles te ajudam a fazer uma viajem no tempo e te levam novamente para perto deste.

Com o auxílio deles somos capazes de raciocinar, tomar decisões, calcular, falar e idealizar.

São também eles que intitulamos consciência. Eles nos ajudam a pensar rápido em situações que isso é necessário. E nos trazem a idéia do certo e errado.

Se pensarmos em nós sem essa voz incansável, o mundo seria vazio e sem graça. Seríamos inconscientes e sem vida. Não teríamos inteligência e imaginação! É por isso que devemos estar sempre alimentando a mente, e nutrindo esses “cavalos indomáveis” que são os pensamentos!

Por que não falar de um único jeito?

É claro que para cada situação temos que falar de um jeito, mas se não fosse assim seria bem mais divertido, certo? Agora, que tal experimentarmos?
- O presidente, chega numa reunião e começa dizendo: Quero todo mundo com o bumbum na cadeira, prestando atenção no que eu tô dizendo! É o seguinte, todos vão ter que seguir as regras que eu falar e sem reclamações! - ou seja, meio estranho, mas bem melhor!

A diretora da escola também podia falar de um jeito menos complicado. Ela sempre imventa um texto de 15 linhas que pode ser resumido um 1 linha:
- Como ela diz: A nossa avaliação será realizada no dia 7 de abril, por causa dos danos causados pela chuva.
> Ela não vai fazer prova;
> A gente sabe dos danos da chuva, afinal ficamos sem aula.

- Como deveria ser: Vocês vão fazer a prova dia 7 de abril.
> Muito mais fácil e evita perguntas chatas, feitas pelos alunos "desligados do mundo".

Antes de dar tchau (isso me lembra Teletubbies), quero lembra que hoje é o último dia do Concurso, corram!!

Trip to the Island - Goa

Trip to the Island

It was Sunday the 25th April, 2010. The day planned for the trip to the Island and also it was a party for our best friend who is getting married on the 29th of May.
It was like after ages our group from college had got together.
The day stared with getting the food ready, getting the ice box stuffed getting ice, drinks and lots of water. We met at Calangute before proceeding to Coco Beach.
Umesh was waiting for us at the Coco beach ,as we were late as always.
We set sail for the island from coco beach, passing by the Fort Aguada, Cabo Raj bhawan.
It was a wonderful trip, we had fun all along the way and just being on the island is just so amazing.
Swimming, snorkeling(its just amazing), fishing, frying fish on the island
It was just a little time spent on this amazing paradise.
