LV Celebrates Sprouse Collection

Photobucket
This Thursday, January 8th Louis Vuitton is celebrating its new Stephen Sprouse collection at their Soho boutique on Greene Street.
From what WWD tells us the store is going to be turned out Stephen Sprouse style, with neon graffiti everywhere, light installations, & other fun features.
The collection will launch exclusively at the Soho boutique
this Thursday, & worldwide Feb. 2nd. However the Rose pieces will be available at Louis Vuitton stores worldwide starting January 9th.

And what's a launch without limited edition pieces.
For the Soho celebration there will a limited edition Stephen Sprouse graffiti skateboard with a LV monogram skateboard trunk. As well as a Stephen Sprouse “Roses” T-shirt. The skateboard with trunk will go for $8,250 each and the T-shirts for $250 each. There will be only 3 skateboards with trunks & 70 t-shirts. I want to know who will be the 3 to buy them.

The greatest part of all this, is that the money is going somewhere positive.
"Proceeds will benefit Free Arts NYC, which provides underserved children throughout New York City with special arts programs. Vuitton is also making an undisclosed donation to the Sprouse Estate, as well as the Stephen Sprouse Memorial Scholarship Fund at the National Academy for Design here."

But the party doesn't end at Greene Street...
"Vuitton will honor the late artist with three events this Thursday. The night will kick off with cocktails at the Vuitton boutique on Greene Street, with a simultaneous event at nearby Deitch Projects’ Wooster Street Gallery for the opening of the “Rock on Mars” Sprouse retrospective. Afterwards, Vuitton and Jacobs will host a bash at the Bowery Ballroom, featuring a performance by Sprouse’s friend Debbie Harry, followed by DJ Jus Ske. The venue is expected to have a Sprouse feel, with a special graffiti-and-neon decor."

How exciting is all this!
