Do you have an unexpired visa? If so, just traveling out of US and coming back through port-of-entry should do the trick. For best results, try an airline travel. YMMV.

Just like *ranga*, *billa* also has a story.
billa went to Texas A and M for his Mechanical Engineering and then moved into a lucrative job at a world famous oil company in Houston. His company has offered him a permanant job and offered to do his Green Card. But they don't know he will be leaving his job to go to Dubai because of Green Card logjam and uncertaainity that prevails.

EB2 is Determined by the nature of the job and if a master's IS TRULY required. If not your application will face an audit and you will have to re-apply under Eb3 all over again (meaning re-run the ads etc and wait for that extra month). Also Eb2 PERM Approvals on average take MUCH longer than eb3 even without any audit.

My H1 has expired on 31st August, 2009. My disgraced company applied for extention in the month of May 2009 in regular Processing. Still waiting for Approval and have Receipt Notice only from Vermount center.:confused::mad::(:(:eek::eek:

At the time of your entry, if your I 485 is approved, then use your EAD t enter into US. Otherwise, just use your valid H1B visa to enter US.

Be ready for audit when you go for Citizenship or extension of GC. Make sure you have everything documented and can prove to USCIS, in case there is RFI.

I am planning to file my 7th year extension and would appreciate some one who can provide some guidance. I have a pending I-485 (July 2007 filer).
My six year visa expires in Sep 07, 2009
a) How much in advance we can submit HIB petition. I read some where H1B can be applied six month in advance.
b) If we apply six month in advance, can those dates be from Sep 08, 2009 or the date of submission.
c) Can we include the dates for some one is physically not present in US
d) What supporting documents are needed to prove that some one was not present in US?

If you are looking in 300K range with best schools,large indian community then Villages of Urbana in Frederick is one of the better choices.
The property tax is pretty low here because it is in Frederick county. I hope this information helps you. The elementary,middle and high schools here are one of the best in the state.

We are now submitting our AP applications. If anyone has submitted late like myself in the recent past, I would appreciate this information.
1.) Could anyone let me know the appropriate documents for this?
2.) Also, what are the fees associated with it, especially with all the old vs new stuff?

However, she feels her human rights are being violated.
This is so due to an issue called Employer Based Green Card Retrogression.
In these years, we have earned top notch dollars, paid taxes, made charitable contributions, visited numerous craft fairs and bought American products, and participated in the cultural diversity of this country. Highly skilled and accomplished as we are, we don't have a life.
We don't have a life, because we don't have security and peace of mind. We don't have peace of mind because after toiling for more than six years, we are still temporary workers. We don't have a green card yet.
Because we don't have a green card, life has come to a hold. Here's how.
For the longest time we didn't participate in my employer's 401 K plan because we weren't sure if we will get our green card and become permanent residents and hence be able to enjoy fruit of our labor after retirement. I didn�t buy life insurance, or make long term investments for the same reason - unless we get a green card it seems like we are living in an exotic refugee camp. We haven't bought a home because our H1Bs have always been tied to a particular employer, and there is always this chance where if for some reason one of us loses our job, then we will not be able to afford the mortgage and may also have to leave the country in a matter of days, leaving no time for us to sell the house.
Senator, where is my American Dream? Why has America created a temporary workers' program which is completely unfavorable to the worker's quality of life and long term welfare?

I can't even imagine what it would do the morale and self-confidence of a dignified woman who has earned her living through her hard work all these years.
