Giving fans a first glimpse of his latest character, Tom Cruise unveiled the debut photo of himself in costume as rocker Stacee Jaxx for "Rock of Ages".
A far cry from his typical too-perfect spy persona acquired through the "Mission: Impossible" series, the 48-year-old actor can be seen sans shirt while covered in tattoos as he belts out a song onstage.
The film is being directed by Adam Shankman while boasting an impressive cast including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand, Alec Baldwin and Julianne Hough.
As for Cruise's singing skills, wife Katie Holmes recently praised her "Top Gun" hubby's abilities, as she told Access Hollywood, "[Tom] is such an amazing performer. Yes, we have music in our house and it?s amazing."
