I think you missed the USCIS update. You can file till Aug 17th. So its the same amount of time one month from now.

that makes it tough.... Check with your lawyers. I presume your BC also mentions the name of the hospital where you were born.
If it does'nt then get an affidavit from your parents saying you were born at home and your BC was registered incorrectly. If it does, I dunno what to do....
Also, ask your parents to consult a lawyer in India and see if BC can be corrected through other means.

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused now. Maybe its just me.
Couple of questions, if you don't mind.
1. Did you go on your vaction after getting your 3 year extension based on your approved I-140?
2. Did you apply for 3 year H1-b extension even though your passport was not renewed?
3. Did you renew your passport before you travelled on your vacation? I am asking this just to know which passport had your visa stamp?
4. Did UCSIS approve your H!-b extension for 3 years and does the I-94 on your I-797 indicate that the new H1-b is valid for 3 years?

I returned to the US last year after a vacation and while my current visa's expiration date is July 2007 the customs official would only stamp my I-94 & authorize entry until May 2007 when my passport expires. My lawyer has applied for our extension using copies of my passport which is expiring soon but she advised that USCIS would need a copy of the new passport with new expiry date before approving my extension. The lawyer says your passport has to have an expiry date after the date of expiration of your visa extension. This is a very common issue. Most of the times the HR title and job title and Labor title do not match.
I know it is a common issue for anybody. But if USCIS goes strictly, then it is a problem.

If I were you I would just do paper-based application for I-765. I just checked the pdf file and it doesn't have any questions that one would have a hard time answering. Just fill it out and fed-ex it. :) That's what I will do once I keep on renewing my EAD.

Emergency AP can be obtained from the local office with scanned letter.
It should not be a problem. Only the color paper they use is different than the one sent by the service center....

What will happen to people who already made the move hoping to preserve their priority date from previous employer? Isn't this unfair to these folks. Do you think they may be exempt from this? I wish at least.

Hi,
What happens if a EAD is obtained for a person on a h4 visa and the person does not work or works partially? Is that an issue, like bench period being an issue while on H1.
I am thinking that, that should not be an issue as one doesn't need a visa to get back to the country while on EAD, as AP would be available. And potentially bench period turns out to be an issue in H1 becoz consulates tend to look at ur W2's from previous years while u go for stamping, which wouldn't be the case while on EAD. Am I right?

Asking since you dont change planes in London... you continue on same flight.
As far as I know, you don't need any transit visa but contact the following:
a)British embassy.
b)Airlines.
c)Directly goto airport and check at the counter ( a week ahead).
