Lady Gaga's Full-Length "Edge of Glory" Video. Likes or Yikes?

Lady Gaga's Full-Length "Edge of Glory" Video. Likes or Yikes?

Grammy-winning sensation Lady Gaga has a reputation for making provocative and outrageous music videos. But the pop star's latest creation for her power ballad "Edge of Glory" seems pretty tame in comparison. In fact, some reviewers are saying it's downright boring.

Heavy on the fog machine, the video features the 25-year-old singer wearing a black-and-white wig and a black Gianni Versace dominatrix outfit as she roams the empty city streets. But while most of Gaga's videos involve several costume changes and feature expert back-up dancers, this one shows a solo Gaga wearing only one kooky look. There isn't even anyone else in the entire video, other than a lone saxophone player.

Legendary E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons, who recently suffered a stroke, appears throughout the video. Gaga recently twittered: "Little monsters, my very close friend +musician on The Edge of Glory, Clarence Clemons is very sick. Can we all make some get well videos?"

Compared to the complex and theatrical videos for "Judas," "Telephone" (her duet with Beyonce), "Bad Romance" and "Alejandro," "Edge of Glory" just doesn't seem to measure up. (There aren't even any controversial religious references!) So, did Gaga get bored of making over-the-top videos? Or is it some sort of metaphor for her being alone with her music?

We want to know what you think of Gaga taking her music videos in a new direction. Share your opinions by voting in our poll!
