I just wanted to confirm that it is ok to travel on AP via Dubai from Emirates without H1B stamp. Has anyone done this recently and can you share your experience? Thanks.

Hi,
I think you should write your spouse name on the mailbox alongwith yours especially if she still maintained her maiden name which would be different from your last name.
Also do talk to your postmaster and update the situation.

I have submitted 3 affidavits and non-availability certificate, but NSC sent RFE asking for oldest evidence of birth
a. medical records with child and both parents name
b. hospital records with child and both parents name
c. census records with child and both parents name
d. school records with child and both parents name
e. religious records with child and both parents name for naming ceremony.
I do not have any of them, at the most the school record is 10th grade with only fathers name.
Any ideas?,. Lawyer says its OK, send whatever is available and write an explanation why any of the above can't be obtained.

rajarao - I have this suggestion. My employers did something similar for my LC audit, which is different from I 485. But, the point is to look for an equivalent substitute.
Do you have any sustitutes for the above ? Such as LIC policies with beneficiaries, ration card, voters registration, driver's license anything ? If you do, then call USCIS and explain what you are sending and the significance of these documents and find out if acceptable.
It looks like they are looking for an authentic document showing son's and parent's names.

My company informed me today that, when spouse is added to the insurence, the insurence will start from day 1 of next month. My wife will be comming in the middle of month. How to cover this gap with insurence...?? Any suggestions...????

My wife received the FP notice 3 weeks ago and her FP is tomorrow. I never received it even though I am the primary applicant. I do see updates on my I-485 application but no FP notice. The USCIS center is quite far away from my home. Can I try to go there with my wife and see if they can do my FP also tomorrow or is that a lost cause?
This happened to me twice in last 3 years and this is what I can tell you from my experience.
All member of the family should go for the finger print because often times figer print notices are lost in the mail. I went to the IO at the center and told IO officer that I did not receive the FP notice. She checked in the system and said that FP notice was sent for me as well. IO officer printed a FP notice right at the spot and handed that to me so that my wife and I could give finger prints together. If you do not give the finger print, the risks is that CIS may send you another notice or may send you the "last notice" before considering your application as abandoned.
I would say - better safe than sorry.

We had an emergency and got our AP approved and collected it at the USCIS office. We left US the very next day. We had no issues returning back. So i think you should be OK.
Lets assume that USCIS mailed it the same day and you got it in a couple of days. :rolleyes:

This is after the dates were pushed back to 2003. There was no movement for a few months. Hopefully they are starting to process the apps in order now.
Not really. There appears to be no orderly fashion. My PD is June 2007 EB2. I got an RFE on My I 485 in May 2008.

In my humble opinion, I think we all should write more to the main stream media about our stories targeting such as New York Times, public opinion column.
They may ignore us, but they will begin to be interested as volume increases. I haven't done it myself but I will try.
Those out there with a good English writing skills, please write more to main stream media.

If your extension paper come with I-94 attached, take it and staple it on your passport. (That is your new I-94). White paper need to keep in safe place. If it is expired, no value for it.

I have a last minute doubt - my H1B stamp on the passport is expired, so is the white I94 card. I have a valid I797 extension.
Can I use automatic revalidation? I am in doubt because the white I94 card is expired and I will have to present it to the officer at the port of entry.

Does this mean even after CIR + SKIL passes and gets enacted, causing PDs to move forward significantly or become current in some categories and allowing us to file 485 & EAD... we have to wait 8 more years in preadjucation/ FBI name check delays/ Service Center Application backlogs (current NSC backlogged to Sept 06 for EB based 485)?
I am really freaked out. Can someone please shed some light on this.

What is her priority date? Has she filed in RIR or Non-RIR? For RIR, there were only 200 application left in the last release I saw in OH website.

Just from reading on here and other forums it seems 2002's and 2003's have been steadily getting approvals, and her case is so old she hasn't gotten a single letter from them, makes no sense.

Filing I-140 petition on your behalf signifies immigrant intent. So if you travel outside, you could potentially be denied entry.
The safer option would be wait till your I-140 gets approved, if your PD becomes current, filed I-485. If the PD is not current, seek 3yr H-1B COS under the AC 21 provisions.

My lawyer also sent request through AILA liason. She asked me to wait 6 weeks before enquiring again.
NSC responded to my lawyer's request. They do have the correct older PD in their system and will be adjudicating my case according to that.
Ombudsman response was an error.
