To say that the relationship between season 14 Bachelor star Jake Pavelka and his chosen winner Vienna Girardi went bad quickly is an understatement. But although their brief engagement ended horribly in June 2010, that was not to be the end of their fairy tale-turned-nightmare. In a fun twist of fate (well, not so much fate as a ratings ploy), People reports that the feuding exes will be reunited for Bachelor Pad 2, the second season of the ABC reality show that brings together memorable contestants from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.
During season 14 of The Bachelor, Girardi had been dogged by incessant rumors of a wild past and plastic surgery, and Pavelka defended her honorably. Her jealousy about other women, including Pavelka's season 10 Dancing With the Stars partner Chelsie Hightower, caused some to think their relationship was not exactly healthy. The two split publicly with as much ugliness and name-calling as possible in June 2010. Girardi referred to Pavelka as a "liar" and a "fame whore," while Pavelka returned the favor by accusing Girardi of infidelity.
While the Pavelka-Girardi reunion is surely the hook for Bachelor Pad 2, which debuts Aug. 8 on ABC., notable Bachelor and Bachelorette alums Kasey Kahl, Erica Rose, Justin Rego, Michelle Money and others will also be onhand for the fun, scheming and general drama.
