We were just as surprised as you were when Jennifer Aniston appeared publicly with new man Justin Theroux, so soon after they began dating. But sources are saying that it was the Rock of Ages screenwriter that pushed Aniston to come clean about their romance -- and Jen wants to keep him happy!
"Justin is ready to take their relationship public," a Theroux pal told Us Weekly. "She doesn't want him to get frustrated with her usual covert way of doing things, so she's compromising and relaxing about the paparazzi."
After numerous dinner dates, Aniston, 42, and Theroux, 39 appeared together at an MTV Movie Awards after-party on June 5, where they canoodled out in the open. A source says that things are going so well for the new lovebirds that they can't seem to tear themselves away from each other. After their PDA at the MTV party, an insider said Theroux was scheduled to return to New York, "but they were having so much fun he extended his trip!"
The couple met while costarring in upcoming flick Wanderlust.
