After being spotted having an extended dinner together in Los Angeles in mid-May, Jennifer Aniston and actor Justin Theroux seemingly went public with their romance at an MTV Movie Awards after party in early June. But amid the reports of the actors' budding relationship, one thing the media forgot to mention was that Theroux, 39, may have still been with his longtime live-in girlfriend throughout the whole thing!
The New York Post's Page Six has learned that Hollywood costume designer Heidi Bivens, Theroux's partner of 14 years, moved out of the couple's New York apartment this past weekend. "Heidi and Justin have been together for 14 years. They met when she was 20 years old and he 24, and yes, she just moved out of their home last weekend," a rep for Bivens confirms to Page Six. "She has no comment."
Whether things between Theroux and Bivens have been over for a while or ended abruptly thanks to his romance with Aniston, 42, seems to be up for debate. "(Bivens) was completely blindsided," an inside source tells Page Six. "She and Justin had been together for years, they had a home. Then he met Jennifer and everything changed. At first he claimed he and Jen were friends."
However, a friend of Theroux tells a different story. "Things were already over between him and Heidi before he got close to Jen," the friend says.
Meanwhile, an inside source divulges to Us Weekly that Theroux and Aniston "started hooking up" while filming Wanderlust in Georgia last fall, and that Theroux was already on the outs with Bivens at the time (though apparently not completely broken up). "He had been trying to leave her for a while," the source adds. "He broke it off for good in March."
We certainly hope that things between Theroux and Bevins had run their course before Aniston came into the picture. If there's anyone who knows how "uncool" it is to have a partner stolen right out from under her, it's Jen.
